Role Responsibilities
The heavy diesel mechanic will be responsible for a range of tasks to ensure agricultural equipment remains in optimal working condition. Key duties include:
- Diagnostics & Repairs: Perform basic diagnostics, routine repairs and preventive maintenance on agricultural machinery.
- Hydraulic & Transmission Work: Conduct hydraulic and transmission diagnostics as well as complex repair work.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain the condition of all vehicles, tools and equipment associated with the job.
- Air Conditioning Repairs: Carry out diagnostics and repairs on air conditioning systems across a range of farming machinery.
- Pre-season Preparation: Conduct pre-season maintenance and repairs on tractors, trucks, headers and other equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Follow strict safety protocols to protect yourself, team members, customers and business partners, especially when working on-site.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals who meet the following qualifications:
- Trade Certification: Hold a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate, equivalent training or relevant experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
- Maintenance Skills: Possess the skills needed to conduct general maintenance and basic repairs effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Be adept at diagnosing and repairing the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems of agricultural machinery, trucks and heavy equipment.

Salary Package
The salary range for this role is between A$75,000 and A$90,000 per year, depending on the experience and skill set of the successful candidate.
